*Dr. Ruth Rimmer, PhD, has devoted the past fifteen years to working with pediatric burn victims and their families. She is
internationally known as an expert in this field. Her book the “Bear Visits the Burn Center” has been translated into
Spanish; French, German, and recently into Chichewa, the language of Malawi, Africa. Dr. Rimmer is currently the Child
Burn Psychologist for the Arizona Burn Center of the Maricopa Medical Center. Her research reveled that 65% of children
admitted to the center are Hispanic, and a 75% decrease in scald burn admissions to the Burn Center from zip codes that
utilized Dr. Rimmer’s prevention program. Dr. Tursha’ Hamilton, Dr. Robert Gear Jr. and Fred Taylor will discuss the
detrimental impact of the American Cancer Societies Prostate Cancer Guidelines.
